Job summary

Stripe is seeking an experienced M&A/Integration Accounting leader in the United States to drive cross-functional integration strategy and execution. You will oversee business combination accounting, valuations, and serve as the accounting authority for Stripe’s strategic investments.

Responsibilities include leading finance integration programs end-to-end, coordinating with Corporate Development, Tax, Legal, and external providers.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of public accounting or industry experience.
• M&A integration experience.
• Degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
• Fluency in US GAAP and ability to research complex issues.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Experience with internal controls (design, implementation and execution).
• Demonstrated history of taking on challenging projects and delivering results.
• Solution-oriented mindset with a drive for best practices.

Responsibilities

• Serve as controllership/oversight for subsidiaries until they are integrated into Stripe teams/systems.
• Partner with Corporate Development, Tax, Corporate Legal, Finance & Strategy, and external providers for diligence and integration.
• Communicate and influence unintegrated teams to align with Stripe policies and norms.
• Be the responsible individual ensuring timely and accurate reporting of unintegrated subsidiaries/businesses and investments.
• Shape the evolution of financial close and reporting programs with best practices and internal controls.
• Own program management of finance integration workstreams end-to-end.
• Plan and lead complex cross-functional projects to integrate into Stripe’s systems and processes.
• Plan monthly and quarterly close activities with reconciliations and analyses.
• Research, prepare, and review technical accounting analyses.
• Utilize Stripe-approved AI tools to accelerate work.
