Job summary

Societe Generale's U.S. Mergers & Acquisitions team seeks an experienced finance professional to support buy-side and sell-side advisory activities. You will originate, analyze, and execute transactions, build complex valuation models, and prepare market materials.

The role requires strong M&A or corporate finance background, excellent communication, and the ability to work independently within a global investment banking platform. Exposure to cross-border deals is a plus.

Qualifications

• Strong financial modeling ability.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• 3+ years of M&A or corporate finance experience.
• Strong academic background from a leading university or business school.
• Nice-to-have: mentoring junior team members, knowledge of transaction documentation, understanding of M&A business development and strategy, track record of M&A execution.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with sector and product teams to originate and execute buy-side and sell-side M&A assignments.
• Lead the preparation of valuation analyses (DCF, DDM, LBO, NPV, IRR) and transaction memoranda (CIMs, Teasers).
• Prepare and maintain marketing materials, pitchbooks, and multiple financial models (merger models, accretion/dilution, ability-to-pay tests).
• Oversee investor/buyer outreach and administer datarooms from inception to close.
• Assist in development of definitive agreement materials and negotiate valuation.
• Complete transactional-related administrative tasks and internal strategy exercises.
• Manage Analysts and assist in coordinating transaction deliverables.
