Job summary

Paradigm at Sweeny is seeking a motivated Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our skilled nursing team as a supervisor. You will support the Director of Nursing, oversee nursing staff, and ensure high-quality resident care in a growing facility.

You will lead in-service training, enforce safety and infection control measures, and participate in audits, budgeting, and regulatory compliance. A $3,200 bonus is offered for full-time employment along with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active Texas LVN license.
• 3 years’ experience in a Supervisor role in healthcare; Long-Term Care experience preferred.
• Minimum six months experience in rehabilitative/restorative nursing practices preferred.
• Knowledge of reimbursement regulations and nursing facility administration laws/regulations.
• Ability to communicate policies and procedures to staff, residents, families and agencies; strong decision-making.
• Computer literacy (Outlook, Microsoft Office).

Responsibilities

• Perform duties as described in the Nurse – RN or LVN Job Description, as applicable.
• Supervise nursing staff and assist the Director of Nursing to ensure quality care.
• Provide in-services and staff development to meet quality standards and regulations.
• Identify safety concerns and take actions to assure patient safety.
• Participate in audits, budgeting and compliance with federal/state/local regulations.
• Schedule nursing manpower to support resident activities and shifts.
• Assist in recruitment, onboarding and performance evaluation of nursing staff.
• Maintain infection control practices and safe environment for residents, staff and visitors.
