Qualifications

• Must possess a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an LPN/LVN in this state.
• Must read, write, and understand English; able to communicate with managers, employees, residents, and families.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants.
• Ensure all nursing personnel comply with facility policies and procedures.
• Review and revise department policies and procedures as needed.
• Plan shifts, services, programs, and activities.
• Maintain Nursing Service Procedures Manual and ensure accuracy of records.
• Complete accident/incident reports and submit to the Director.
• Lead nursing staff rounds and coordinate with other departments.
• Mentor and develop CNAs and nursing staff; participate in evaluations.
