Job summary

NVIDIA is seeking an experienced HPC systems engineer to own the LSF scheduling fabric across federated cells. You will troubleshoot, optimize mbatchd/mbschd, and define cell topology as the farm grows.

You will work with IaC to encode policies, partner with CAD and methodology teams on large memory jobs, and push through complex multi-site deployments.

Required: BS or MS in CS/CE, 8+ years in HPC with 5+ on IBM Spectrum LSF, deep knowledge of LSF internals, Linux, Python, Perl and shell.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years in HPC or large-scale batch compute, with 5+ years on IBM Spectrum LSF.
• Depth in LSF internals and ability to explain a scheduling cycle end-to-end.
• Hands-on MultiCluster experience in a production, multi-site environment.
• Strong Linux systems fundamentals and scripting in Python, Perl, and shell.

Responsibilities

• Own scheduler behavior across federated LSF cells, including tuning and cycle analysis.
• Diagnose MultiCluster forwarding problems and remote queue sizing in production.
• Set design for cell topology and federation as the farm grows.
• Encode scheduler policy into a resilient config schema with IaC.
• Collaborate with CAD and methodology teams on memory-heavy workloads.
