Integrated Home Care Services, Inc. seeks a Senior Low Voltage Technician to perform advanced fiber optic installations, terminations, and troubleshooting across Texas, the Gulf Coast, and the southeastern U.S.

The role requires independent leadership and a strong technical background, with mentorship of junior staff. Responsibilities include installing and configuring fiber, access control, and IP CCTV systems; reading drawings; and traveling to remote job sites with overnight stays.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in low voltage electrical work.
  • Proven ability to install, terminate, and troubleshoot fiber optics, access control, and surveillance systems.
  • Experience with Genetec and/or Avigilon preferred.
  • NICET I or II in Fire Alarm or related discipline is a plus.
  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.
  • Valid and current driver’s license.
  • Ability to pass drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

  • Terminate, splice (fusion), and test fiber optic cable using OTDR and power meter testing equipment.
  • Install and configure access control systems including door hardware, readers, panels, and power supplies.
  • Install, aim, and program IP CCTV systems; experience with Genetec and Avigilon preferred.
  • Troubleshoot and repair low voltage cabling systems, including Cat5e/6/6A and fiber.
  • Read and interpret construction drawings, risers, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Travel to remote job sites requiring overnight stays.
  • Interface with customers, project managers, and site personnel to ensure job clarity and satisfaction.
  • Support training and development of apprentices and junior technicians.
  • Maintain a strong focus on job safety, accuracy, and craftsmanship.

Job description

The Senior Low Voltage Technicianis responsible for performing advanced low voltage installations, terminations,and troubleshooting for fiber optic systems, access control, surveillance, andstructured cabling. This traveling role covers job sites across Texas, the GulfCoast, and the southeastern U.S., requiring independence, leadership, and astrong technical background. This position also supports cross-functionalefforts and may lead or mentor junior technicians.

Essential Duties andResponsibilities

Position Requirements
  • Must be flexible to travel regularly throughout Texas, the Gulf Coast,and Southeast U.S.
  • Must be able to work extended hours as required by the job schedule.
  • Weekend work may be necessary based on business needs.
  • Regular attendance is essential to this position
Physical & CognitiveRequirements
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
  • Bend, stoop, kneel, climb, and work in confined spaces or overheadconditions.
  • Operate power tools and diagnostic equipment.
  • Work from ladders, lifts, and scaffolding at varying heights.
  • Visual acuity and color recognition required for fiber and wiring work.
  • Ability to transition from parking areas to construction zones usingOSHA-approved means.
Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • High-level problem-solving and customer service aptitude.
  • Familiarity with hand and power tools, test equipment, and mechanicallifts.
