Job summary

Fountaine Information Systems, Inc. is seeking a Senior Low Voltage Technician in the San Jose area. This hands-on role involves installing, configuring, and commissioning commercial LV systems including access control, IP video, alarms, and cabling.

You’ll read blueprints, perform testing, and support other technicians on site. The ideal candidate has strong field installation experience, ladders and tools proficiency, and a drive to grow into project leadership with a family-owned company

Qualifications

Experience installing low-voltage, access control, alarm, surveillance or related systems in commercial settings.
Hands-on field installation skills; not a purely IT role.
Familiarity with access control panels, cameras, NVRs, structured cabling, and device installation.
Basic networking knowledge including IP addressing and PoE.

Responsibilities

Install, service, troubleshoot, and commission commercial low-voltage systems.
Install and configure access control panels, readers, electrified locks, door hardware, and related devices.
Set up IP cameras, NVRs, surveillance gear, and burglar alarms.
Pull and terminate Cat5/Cat6 cabling, test and troubleshoot.
Coordinate with project managers, customers, and contractors; maintain clean sites.
