Fountaine Information Systems, Inc. in San Jose, CA is seeking a hands-on Low Voltage Technician to install, service, and commission commercial low-voltage systems including access control, IP video, and structured cabling.

This is a full-time, permanent W-2 role offering $28.00-$40.00 per hour, with benefits such as health, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plan with employer match, paid time off, a company vehicle or allowance, and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Solid hands-on installation experience in low-voltage or related trades.
• Ability to work in field and construction environments.
• Experience with access control, CCTV, alarms, or structured cabling is a plus.
• Comfort with climbing ladders and physical work.
• Valid driverds license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, troubleshoot, and commission commercial low-voltage systems.
• Install access control systems (panels, readers, electrified locks, door hardware).
• Install and configure IP cameras, NVRs, surveillance equipment, and burglar alarms.
• Pull, terminate, test, and troubleshoot Cat5/Cat6 and other cabling.
• Read blueprints and diagrams; work safely with tools and equipment.
• Coordinate with project managers, customers, and other trades.
