Job summary

Cumming Group in Martindale, TX is seeking a Senior Electrical Low Voltage Project Manager to lead fire alarm and BMS work on a new data center build. You will manage planning, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, subcontractor oversight and client relations to deliver the project safely, on time, and within budget.

This role requires 9+ years of electrical construction PM experience, strong knowledge of codes and IT infrastructure, and excellence in communication.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred.
  • 9+ years of electrical construction project management experience.
  • Experience managing large-scale mission-critical, data center, or industrial projects.
  • Experience with AV systems, structured cabling, low-voltage systems, and IT-related electrical infrastructure, including coordination with technology integrators and network teams.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction methods, codes, and industry standards.
  • Proven experience managing projects with significant electrical scopes and multi-million-dollar budgets.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; able to interface with all levels of management.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of the low voltage electrical construction projects, specifically fire alarms and BMS, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout.
  • Assist in the development and management of the project strategic plans and program initiatives to meet the goals and needs of the Owner.
  • Act as Owner’s Advisor with primary responsibility for all phases of project.
  • Manage overall planning, design, and construction process and orchestrate all activities related to design and construction.
  • Guide Clients through the complexities of design and construction, with a focus on ownership priorities.
  • Coordinate with the Architect, Contractor, and other project team members to meet objectives and resolve issues.
  • Lead all elements related to contracts; including negotiating, drafting and executing.
  • Manage overall project budget and schedule; report to project team and client on a regular basis.
  • Lead proposal review, leveling and analysis and present to the Client.
  • Lead selection process for all consultants and vendors, including RFQ/RFP, evaluating firms, and negotiating terms.

They are responsible for leading and managing this scope from preconstruction through closeout. This role oversees project planning, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, subcontractor management, client relations, and overall project execution to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.The PM team's standard is to 'manage each project like we own it'. Report to project team and client on a regular basis.Lead proposal review, leveling and analysis and present to the Client.Lead selection process for all consultants and vendors, including preparation of RFQ/RFP, researching and comparing firms under consideration, and recommending and negotiating optimum business terms.
