Job summary

SCI Summit Consulting, LLC is seeking a senior loss control professional in Illinois to assess complex risks for insured properties and operations. You will tailor risk-reduction strategies and train clients on safety practices and regulatory compliance.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management and Insurance (or related field), 9+ years in loss control, and strong analytical, communication, and consultative skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management and Insurance, Safety Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 9 years' experience in loss control, risk management, or related field within the property & casualty insurance industry.
• Professional designation such as CSP, ARM, CFPS, CSHMS, ALCM, OHST preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Conducts complex risk assessments for insured properties and operations to inform underwriting decisions.
• Identifies risk exposures and formulates strategies to mitigate identified risks.
• Interprets and analyzes loss data to identify patterns and designs and implements loss prevention programs tailored to client needs.
• Provides advanced technical guidance and conducts training for clients on safety practices and regulatory compliance.
• Monitors the effectiveness of loss control measures and makes strategic adjustments to enhance outcomes.
• May have responsibility for coaching staff and participate in talent decisions for direct reports.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
