State Compensation Insurance Fund is looking for a safety professional who will provide occupational safety and health services to our insured employers in the Central Coast Region , ranging approximately from the Lompoc/Los Olivos area to the Paso Robles area. The safety staff are field employees, who work in the region they serve.
You will be working with:
• Employers with small to medium size workforces, risks of mid-level complexity
• Employers may have multiple locations
• Employers with significant losses related to easily identifiable hazards and industrial operations with mid-range sophistication
• Employers who need Specialized services of lesser complexity

To be considered, you must provide a fully completed STD 678 state application an d resume via Cal Careers. Resumes submitted in lieu of the STD 678 willnot be accepted. Completed STD 678 must include full duties performed, start and end dates, and hours worked per week for each position held.
Selected candidate(s) hired may be required to attend in-person Onboarding at our Vacaville office with expenses for attendance paid by State Fund.

• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal direct supervision
• A people oriented team player
•An effective communicator both written and orally with excellent report writing skills with a variety of report writing software
• Able to document effectively, using non-technical terms and vocabulary that will be understood by employers
• Bi-lingual in Spanish is a plus
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and/or Associate in Risk Management (ARM)
