Job summary

Sabre Industries, Inc. is seeking a Long seam Welder to perform 100% penetration welds on shaft seams, following drawings, codes, and procedures. Responsibilities include inspecting seams, interpreting flatsheets, preparing surfaces, and adjusting welding parameters to meet quality standards.

The role requires the use of FCAW, GMAW, and SAW processes, along with lifting, grinding, and preventive maintenance of weld equipment. Safety is emphasized.

Qualifications

• Must have basic shop mathematics, addition, subtraction, fractions, multiplication and decimals.
• Proficiency in reading complex prints and specifications.
• Must know how to properly use a weld gauge.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspection of welds and repairs as needed.
• Read and interpret flatsheets and drawings for 100% penetration welds.
• Weld using FCAW, GMAW, and SAW per procedures and codes.
• Set up and adjust welding equipment to obtain required penetration.
