Job summary

Five Below is seeking a Transportation Supervisor/Coordinator to develop and implement efficient domestic transportation strategies. You will collaborate with carriers, monitor shipments, and drive cost savings while leading a team of transportation coordinators.

The role requires 3+ years in domestic transportation management, a bachelor's degree in logistics or related field, and strong negotiation and data-analysis skills. Proficiency with Manhattan TMS and MS Office is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 3+ years of domestic transportation management experience, preferably in a supervisory role.
• Strong understanding of transportation regulations, compliance, and safety standards.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in transportation management software (Manhattan TMS preferred) and other relevant tools.
• Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
• Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with carriers and other logistics partners to negotiate rates and service contracts.
• Monitor and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery and provide timely updates to relevant stakeholders.
• Optimize routing and scheduling to minimize transportation costs and enhance overall efficiency.
• Supervise a team of transportation coordinators, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Analyze transportation data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, expenses, and performance metrics.
• Leverage TMS to optimize routes and transportation methods to enhance efficiency.
• Resolve transportation-related issues, including delays, damages, and discrepancies, in a timely manner.
• Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices to continuously improve transportation processes.
• Plan and coordinate the transportation of goods, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery to Five Below Ship Center, Store or final destination.
