Job summary

REC Silicon is a leading producer of silicon materials and specialty chemicals, seeking a Senior Logistics Specialist for the Butte facility. You will lead and coordinate day-to-day logistics activities, including inbound and outbound transportation, import/export, freight management, and regulatory compliance to ensure safe, timely, and cost-efficient movement of goods.

The role requires strong organizational and problem-solving skills, plus experience with hazardous materials and relationships

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree preferred with 5+ years logistics experience.
• Experience with domestic and international transportation.
• Knowledge of import/export regulations and HTS/Schedule B.
• Hazardous materials transportation knowledge (DOT/IMDG).
• Experience coordinating freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day logistics activities for the Butte facility, including inbound/outbound transportation, import/export, freight management, and compliance.
• Provide supervision and training to logistics staff; coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders, and internal teams.
• Monitor freight rates, fuel costs, and market trends to support budgeting and decision-making.
• Coordinate logistics contracts and service agreements; ensure regulatory compliance and licensing.
