Job summary

Ecovyst is seeking a Logistics Manager in Long Beach, CA to lead the logistics department for sulfuric acid products and alum production. You will optimize shipping, inventory, and production scheduling while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, production experience, and strong communication. DOT Hazmat proficiency is essential, with experience using CMMS/SAP tools and coordinating with carriers and management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; technical discipline preferred.
• Experience in production environment; chemical manufacturing a plus.
• Ability to write clear operating procedures (SOPs) and use MOC for changes.
• Union environment supervisory experience and ability to manage a unionized hourly workforce.

Responsibilities

• Plan and organize departmental work in logistics for shipping acids and production of alum.
• Manage inbound/outbound railcar movements; forecast demand and coordinate loading plans.
• Lead daily management standards and cross-functional meetings; communicate risks and opportunities.
• Develop department KPIs and track performance to standards.
