Job summary

Berger Moving & Storage is growing. Berger seeks an Operations Supervisor to join our team in Elgin, IL, serving as the liaison between clients and Berger operations and ensuring smooth daily workflows.

The successful candidate will have a High School Diploma or Equivalent (College degree preferred), at least one year in a logistics role, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently or with a team, with familiarity in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• College degree preferred.
• Minimum of one year of experience in a similar role or logistics background.
• Maintain an organized workspace.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Receive, verify, and maintain orders involving email, scanning materials, and billing documentation.
• Process shipping documents by verifying destination, route, rate, and delivery time.
• Maintain customer data and orders in computer systems.
• Communicate with customers regarding availability, shipment dates and method, producing tracking data, and current status.
• Complete daily and weekly invoices, entries, schedules, work orders, spreadsheets, and shipping documentation.
• Maintain, evaluate, and communicate status with appropriate parties.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
