Job summary

Oakley Industrial Logistics within EssilorLuxottica seeks a Senior Logistics Engineer to drive strategic process improvements and automation across North American distribution and warehousing. You will lead high-impact projects, mentor teams, and deliver cost‑effective engineering solutions that raise safety, quality, and service metrics.

You will partner with Manufacturing, Planning, Logistics, IT, and Operations to align processes, develop labor standards, and create scalable logistics

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of engineering experience in logistics, warehousing, distribution, or a related environment.
• Proven success leading multiple complex, cross-functional projects simultaneously.
• Experience designing and implementing automation, material handling, and packaging solutions.
• Strong background in continuous improvement, workflow redesign, and value stream mapping.
• Project and program management expertise, including budgeting, risk management, and stakeholder alignment.
• Experience developing labor standards, warehouse layouts, and capacity planning models.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project (or similar project management tools), and analytics platforms.
• Experience with WMS/LMS systems and labor engineering methodologies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and influencing skills.
• Self‑motivated, adaptable, and able to drive results in a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead lean distribution, continuous improvement, and process optimization initiatives to improve safety, productivity, service levels, and operational reliability.
• Design, implement, and oversee automation, material handling, packaging, and logistics solutions that support scalability and efficiency.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions to achieve measurable business results.
• Develop and manage KPIs, dashboards, and process control tools to drive performance and sustain improvements.
• Provide technical coaching and training to operations teams, engineers, and business partners.
• Partner with Manufacturing, Planning, Logistics, IT, and Operations to align processes and ensure effective customer fulfillment.
• Lead complex, multi-site engineering and automation projects, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Develop labor standards, capacity models, staffing strategies, and change management plans to support operational performance.
• Design facility layouts and support capital investments related to warehouse automation, equipment, and technology.
• Manage vendors, contractors, and cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.
• Maintain project documentation, technical specifications, and operational roadmaps while proactively managing risks and communicating progress to leadership.
