Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, procurement, category management, or related discipline.
• Experience leading strategic sourcing processes (RFI, RFP, RFQ) and supplier negotiations.
• Experience managing transportation or logistics contracts and rate structures.
• Experience with supplier performance via KPIs, scorecards, and business reviews.
• Strong communication with field personnel, suppliers, cross-functional teams, and leadership.
• Analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end category management and strategic sourcing for logistics and transportation services.
• Develop category strategies and plans aligned with priorities and total cost of ownership.
• Build relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to translate demand into strategies.
• Develop commercial models and rate structures to improve cost competitiveness.
• Establish supplier performance governance with KPIs and corrective action plans.
• Apply market intelligence to improve capacity planning and network efficiency.
• Negotiate and administer supplier agreements ensuring clear scopes and terms.
• Use digital tools to analyze performance and support data-driven decisions.
• Support safe transportation execution and comply with DOT and Chevron requirements.
