Job summary

Cleco Corporate Holdings LLC is seeking a Category Strategist II to own category management and strategic sourcing for high‑complexity spend. You will develop strategies, negotiate agreements, and manage supplier performance while reducing total cost of ownership and mitigating risk.

The role interfaces with Safety, Operations, Finance, Tax, Risk Management, HR and Legal, delivering value through cost, safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Engineering, Technology or related field.
• 3+ years of strategic sourcing, commercial contracting, and supplier relationship management experience.
• Experience with procurement software such as SAP or Ariba preferred.
• Strong analytical and communication skills with ability to influence stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop, execute and communicate the category management strategy for assigned categories.
• Lead strategic sourcing initiatives and contract negotiations.
• Analyze market intelligence and manage supplier performance.
• Collaborate with multiple internal stakeholders to align on sourcing opportunities.
• Track spend, savings, and supplier KPIs across categories.
