Overview

Join to apply for the Senior Logistician role at NDI Engineering Company in Virginia Beach, VA. This position supports the US Navy with Navy Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) activities.

NDI Engineering Company is seeking Logisticians with 10 years of Navy ILS experience to join our team in Virginia Beach, VA and assist with supporting the US Navy. The ideal candidate will have 10 years’ experience collecting and analyzing configuration, supply, and maintenance data for DMSMS related projects. Specific experience in Navy Integrated Logistics, the Navy Provisioning process, and the Navy supply system with the ability to organize and manage large part databases is required. Ideal candidate will have experience interfacing with engineers and subject matter experts to review possible obsolescence solutions for engineering impacts. Adherence to written policies and work instructions is a must.

Job Responsibilities

Workflow Management — delegate tasks effectively based on team strengths and project priorities; collaborate with NDI’s DMS team and external customers to communicate tasking, progress, and issue resolution.
Proactive Monitoring — identify obsolescence issues with various Navy organizations and develop solutions; communicate with Navy engineers and vendors via meetings, email, phone, and Navy software (e.g., Remedy).
Logistics Research — research technical information in Navy databases (OneTouch, FEDMALL, Deckplate, etc.) to collect part information.
Case Management — manage obsolescence cases using Excel trackers; develop and update obsolescence Quad Charts with engineering input to track funding requests and solution implementation.
Reporting — develop bi-weekly/monthly/quarterly reports in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; consolidate information from Vendor Surveys and Cases to provide updated status.

Minimum Requirements

Must be a US citizen and able to qualify for a DoD Secret clearance.
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
This work is NOT remote. Working in the Virginia Beach office is required.
Ability to participate in and at times lead weekly and monthly working group meetings.
Good verbal and written communications skills to communicate with customers and vendors.
Ability to review technical documentation at a basic level and communicate with engineers on solutions to obsolescence issues.
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Ability to follow work instructions and work somewhat independently.
Exposure to online part catalogs and researching how to find alternate parts from distributors.
