Job summary
Planet Fitness is seeking a Senior Geospatial Analyst to support location strategy, market intelligence, and predictive insights. You will partner across Development, Real Estate, Finance, Marketing and Enterprise Analytics to evaluate markets and deliver actionable intelligence for site selection, market optimization, and growth.
The role requires 3+ years in geospatial analytics and strong SQL/BI skills. The position is hybrid with in-office Boston, MA or Hampton, NH, with remote work not
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Analytics, Economics, Statistics, Urban Planning, CS, Mathematics or related field.
- 3+ years in geospatial analytics, GIS, location intelligence, market analytics or related field.
- Experience delivering geospatial analysis, reporting and actionable recommendations to leaders.
- Experience analyzing demographic, competitive, market and location data for site selection and growth.
- Strong understanding of trade area, drive-time, white-space and territory optimization analyses.
- Experience building executive dashboards, maps and KPI reporting.
- Proficiency with SQL and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker).
- Experience with ArcGIS, Alteryx, CARTO, MapInfo, ESRI products; cloud data platforms like Snowflake.
Responsibilities
- Analyzes markets, trade areas, demographics, competitive landscapes and member behavior to identify growth opportunities.
- Develops geospatial analyses, market assessments and location intelligence for site selection and market optimization.
- Creates analytic recommendations to improve market performance and development strategy.
- Supports forecasting, market sizing, cannibalization, white-space and other location-based analyses.
- Develops and maintains geospatial dashboards, KPI reporting and mapping tools.
- Monitors market and development metrics and communicates insights to stakeholders.
- Ensures data accuracy and integrity across geospatial reporting.
