Job summary
Advanced Technology Services (ATS) is seeking a Senior Field Service Multicraft Maintenance Technician in the Greater Chicago Area. You will perform expert level preventive and break-fix maintenance on complex equipment, troubleshoot control systems, and guide customer teams to improve reliability and productivity.
Ideal candidates have extensive electrical, mechanical, and automation experience, strong documentation habits, and the ability to train others.
Qualifications
- Understanding electrical, mechanical, fluid power and control systems.
- Ability to analyze problems, synthesize solutions and perform repairs.
- Experience with condition-based maintenance and precision alignments.
- Robust experience with PLCs and motion control devices.
- Comfort with welding and metalworking as needed.
Responsibilities
- Perform expert level preventive and break-fix maintenance.
- Identify and source parts and repair items; evaluate alternatives for cost/reliability.
- Lead maintenance optimization and reliability projects with customers.
- Provide on-the-job training and mentoring to technicians.
- Document work and contribute to manuals and procedures.
- Ensure adherence to safety policies and guidelines.
