Central Bank & Trust Co. in Lexington, KY seeks a full-time Loan Specialist to administer complex commercial, mortgage, and investor loan servicing activities. Responsibilities include processing, reconciling, and resolving discrepancies with attention to regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Two+ years in loan servicing, preferably with complex maintenance or reconciliations.
• Working knowledge of loan documentation, servicing practices, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Administers participation, investor, agency and partner servicing activities, reconciling loan activity and researching variances.
• Reviews escrow analyses and tax/insurance disbursement activity for accuracy and resolves discrepancies.
• Processes loan maintenance for accuracy, adherence to procedures and regulatory requirements; resolves exceptions.
• Processes ACH returns, auto-debit exceptions, Cash Items and other payment exceptions with proper corrections.
• Performs independent second-level quality-control review of loan input and maintenance; identifies errors and enforces corrective action.
• Cross-trains on Loan Services functions and serves as backup for complex activities.
• Communicates with lenders, customers, and other institutions to research discrepancies and obtain timely resolution.
