Job summary

Sauk Valley Bank in Sterling, IL seeks a Senior Loan Quality Control Specialist to ensure the accuracy, compliance, and integrity of our loan portfolio. You will review files, identify issues, conduct audits, and support examinations to uphold high standards.

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in business, finance, accounting or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in lending, loan administration, underwriting, loan review, quality control, or related banking function.
• Strong knowledge of loan documentation and banking regulations is a plus.

Job Duties

As a Loan Quality Control Specialist, you will play a critical role in maintaining the quality and compliance of our loan portfolio by:

• Reviewing loan files for accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance
• Identifying documentation exceptions and working with the lending staff to resolve issues
• Monitoring quality control standards and internal procedures
• Conducting audits and quality review of loan documentation
• Supporting internal and external examination processes
• Tracking trends and recommending progress improvements
• Assisting with risk management initiatives related to loan operations
• Ensuring adherence to bank policies and industry regulations
