Job summary

The Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development is seeking a Loan Administrator to manage underwriting and approval processes for multifamily housing development programs. The role involves coordinating with many public and private participants over a lengthy 12–15 month timeline and serving as a key HUD contact under the 542(c) Risk Sharing program.

Qualifications

• Seven years of community assistance experience in residential or commercial real estate development, governmental housing, community development or infrastructure development programs.
• Notes: degree with three years of related experience can substitute for the required experience.
• Notes: graduate credit hours can substitute for up to two years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee loan underwriting and approval processes for multifamily housing development programs.
• Serve as primary contact with HUD under the 542(c) Risk Sharing program.
• Coordinate with multiple departments and stakeholders through a long project lifecycle.
