Job summary

Powerback is seeking a Wellness Coordinator with aquatics experience to design and supervise fitness programs for older adults across diverse settings. You will support a team including Wellness Instructors and Therapists, ensuring engaging, safe programs aligned with Powerback’s rehab and wellness philosophy.

The role emphasizes developing budgets, maintaining equipment, and fostering strong facility partnerships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor and/or master’s degree in exercise physiology, exercise science, kinesiology, athletic training or related discipline.
• Preferably 3 years of management/program development in club wellness or school setting, ideally in senior living or health/fitness center.
• Certifications in fitness (ACE-CPT, NSCA-CPT, NSCA-CSCS, NSCA-CSPS, NASM-CPT, ACSM-CPT, ACSM-EP, ACSM-CEP, ATC).

Responsibilities

• Designs and implements personalized 1:1 fitness training programs for older adults.
• Designs and implements wellness programs reflecting Powerback concepts.
• Maintains equipment and coordinates repairs and maintenance.
• Develops safety plans and budgets for wellness activities.
• Maintains relationships with facility management as on-site Powerback representative.
• Ensures compliance with laws, policies, and ethics.
