Job summary

Buckner Retirement Services seeks a Waitstaff member for The Stayton at Museum Way community in Fort Worth, TX. The role supports Culinary and kitchen staff, sets tables, serves meals and beverages, and assists with meal prep and cleanup in a resident-focused environment.

Ideal candidates will hold a food handler certificate, demonstrate English reading/writing abilities, and communicate well with residents and co-workers.

Qualifications

• Completes Buckner training and required certifications such as food handler certification.
• Requires ability to read, write and understand business documents in English.
• Able to communicate verbally with residents, families and co-workers.
• Able to follow basic written and oral instructions.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 20 pounds frequently; stand/walk for most of shift.
• Willing to learn food serving, cleanliness and sanitation requirements.
• Must maintain good health and comply with policies and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Set tables and bus tables; wash tables after meals.
• Prepare beverages and food as required for residents.
• Serve food in dining rooms and other areas as needed.
• Serve beverages to residents and maintain service areas.
• Prepare hot carts, steam table, and assist with prep work.
• Wash dishes; clean and sanitize carts and serving areas.
• Maintain a clean work area and assist with meal service.
• Receive and store groceries and rotate stock as needed.
• Report safety issues or resident observations to a supervisor.
• Attend staff meetings and training as required.
