Sentry Hill at York Harbor is seeking a dedicated cook to prepare meals for residents, guests, and staff, following daily planners and standard recipes. You will help on the food line during meals, and ensure all foods meet safety and sanitation standards while providing attentive service.

The role requires clear English communication, willingness to obtain sanitation licenses, and basic computer skills (Excel/Word). A positive, professional demeanor is essential in a team-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in production cooking and/or preparing therapeutic diets is preferred.
• Clear and effective English communication.
• Willingness to obtain necessary food handling and sanitation licenses.
• Basic computer skills; Excel and Word at entry level are required.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
• Ability to solve practical problems in variable situations.
• Maintain a positive, friendly demeanor with residents and co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all food using the daily planner and standard recipes.
• Work the food line during mealtimes.
• Ensure food safety guidelines and sanitation of kitchen areas.
