Frontida Management Group LLC seeks a Staff Accountant to manage day‑to‑day accounting for our senior living communities. You will lead the month‑end close, keep books accurate, and review AR/AP tasks performed by the Accounting Assistant under the Director of Finance.

This role offers growth opportunities, budget support, and audits preparation across multiple communities. If you have 3–5 years of GAAP‑based accounting and proficiency in QuickBooks Online and ALIS or similar billing systems,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience with month-end close.
• Working knowledge of GAAP and accrual-basis accounting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, prepaid amortization and depreciation
• Reconcile bank, credit card and balance sheet accounts each month, and track down and fix any differences
• Record and reconcile transactions between FMG entities
• Prepare monthly financial statements for each community, plus combined reports
• Check monthly resident billing in ALIS and reconcile billing and census data to QuickBooks Online
• Oversee collections on past‑due resident and third‑party payer accounts
• Review how vendor invoices are coded, along with payment runs and employee expense reimbursements
• Maintain vendor records and prepare annual 1099 filings
• Compare actual results to budget and explain the differences, and help with annual budgets and rolling forecasts
• Prepare schedules and supporting documents for audits and tax filings
• Train and guide the Accounting Assistant and cover AR and AP when needed
