Job summary

Merrill Gardens is seeking a Senior Living Sous Chef for our Vancouver, WA community to deliver high-quality meals that support residents’ wellness journey with dignity. You are passionate about seniors and teamwork.

Requirements include a minimum of 5 years in quality food preparation and scratch cooking in high-volume, fine-dining settings; you will oversee dining service teammates in the Executive Chef’s absence and maintain accurate production records.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in quality food preparation.
• Experience with scratch cooking in a high-volume, fine-dining setting.
• Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, etc.
• Culinary training certification or degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee dining service team in absence of the Executive Chef.
• Accurately complete all food production records and comply with policies.
• Prepare food items following established procedures from the Executive Chef.
• Maintain temperature charts and records.
