Job summary

Oakmont Management Group is seeking a Sous Chef for the IVY PARK at OAKLAND HILLS in California. You will lead the Culinary Department, oversee meal preparation, and ensure quality dining experiences for residents, families, and visitors in a senior living community.

Responsibilities include planning meals, maintaining sanitary standards, and coordinating with the Culinary Services Director to meet budget and schedule requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be eighteen (18) years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework in food service/management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals according to approved menu and standards.
• Plan, prep, and deliver high-quality meals for residents and events.
• Ensure sanitary food handling and compliance with policies and regulations.
• Develop and implement culinary procedures to meet timing and temperature targets.
• Monitor portions and inventory, reducing waste and controlling costs.
• During absence of Culinary Services Director, act as Department Manager and supervise staff.
