Arbor Springs is a 56-bed Senior Living Community in Des Moines, IA, seeking a dedicated Social Services professional to support the Director of Social Services and ensure individualized emotional and social resident care. The role involves planning, organizing, evaluating, and directing social services operations in line with standards.

Ideal candidates will be certified social workers or in training, with strong English language skills and a patient, caring attitude toward the elderly.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak and understand English.
• Must be registered as a Certified Social Worker in good standing or in training to satisfactorily complete the requirements to become a Certified Social Worker.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Social Services in planning, organizing, implementing, evaluating and directing the Social Services Department.
• Ensure the medically-related emotional and social needs of residents are met on an individual basis.
• Serve as a liaison representing the residents’ social interests.
