Job summary

Oakmont of Mariner Point, part of Oakmont Management Group, in Alameda, California, is hiring a Server to provide friendly dining service to residents, families, and staff. You will take orders, enter into POS, set up and break down tables, and ensure safe, courteous service in line with our mission and values.

Experience is helpful but not required; we provide training. Must be at least 16 and able to pass background checks and health screenings. Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• Experience is preferred but not necessary; we will train the right candidate.
• Must be at least 16 years of age with a work permit.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs.
• Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests.
• May require vaccination and PPE per regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Serve residents, family members, and visitors in a professional, dignified, efficient, and courteous manner.
• Accurately and professionally take residents' and guests' food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS.
• Set up and break down (bus) tables.
• Assure compliance with proper serving techniques/etiquette.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment following established safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.
