Job summary

Buckner Retirement Services seeks a Sales Counselor in Austin, TX to engage leads, tour prospects, and promote Buckner communities. The role includes coordinating with nursing and admin staff to support admissions across independent living, assisted living, memory care, and nursing areas.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in communications/marketing and 1–3 years in retirement community marketing or admissions, with strong English communication and MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; 1–3 years in hospital or retirement community marketing, sales, and/or admissions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; Word and Excel experience required.
• Willing to work nights and weekends as needed.
• Excellent written and spoken English; strong diplomacy and collaboration.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally; valid license and vehicle insurance.

Responsibilities

• Communicate retirement programs and increase sales to meet goals using various outreach methods.
• Conduct community tours and coordinate with Healthcare Administrator, Director of Nursing, Executive Director, and other staff.
• Respond to inquiries and maintain lead files; arrange tours and admissions follow-up.
• Oversee move-in process and complete admissions paperwork per policy.
• Assist with events, outreach, and speaking engagements to promote programs.
