Job summary

Luxury Senior Living Communities is seeking an RN to care for ill, injured, disabled and convalescent residents, providing general nursing care in a long-term care setting in Homestead, Florida. The role requires administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and participating in care plan development with the healthcare team.

Qualifications

• Current Florida RN license.
• Experience in long-term care preferred.
• Must possess good communications skills, both verbal and written in English. Spanish preferred.
• Knowledge of local, state and federal regulations.
• Basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, including IV meds, if certified.
• Take temperature, pulse, blood pressure and other vital signs to detect deviations from normal and determine progress of residents.
• Assemble and use such equipment as catheters, tracheotomy tubes and oxygen suppliers.
• Evaluate residents’ needs, condition and care and assist in developing nursing care plan for individual residents.
