Job summary

Allied Services is seeking a Recreation Therapy Aide at the Skilled Nursing Center to plan, organize, and implement a range of resident activities, from large group events to individual leisure pursuits.

Under the Director's supervision, you will document attendance and care plans, conduct assessments, assist with special events and transportation, support volunteers, and participate in in-services to maintain skills.

Qualifications

• Implements recreation programs for residents using age-appropriate activities.
• Completes required documentation including daily attendance and plan of care.
• Conducts activity assessments on admissions/readmissions as assigned.
• Assists with facility-sponsored events including transportation and setup/clean-up.
• Distributes monthly activity calendars and coordinates supplies.

Responsibilities

• Attends SNC/Corporate in-services to maintain knowledge and competence.
• Provides direction and support for volunteers and students as assigned.
• Assists residents with practicing citizenship rights including voting and absentee ballots as needed.
