Methodist Retirement Communities is seeking a caring Physical Therapy Assistant to provide hands-on therapy that helps older adults build strength, improve mobility, and participate more fully in daily life. You will work under a licensed Physical Therapist to guide residents through rehabilitation.

You will educate residents and caregivers, document progress, and collaborate with the care team to support resident-centered care in a skilled nursing or senior living setting in Texas.

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program and Texas PTA license.
• Current, unrestricted PTA license in Texas required.
• Two to three years of experience in skilled nursing or senior living preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Carry out individualized treatment plans under supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Instruct, motivate, and assist residents with therapeutic exercise, mobility, ADLs.
• Help residents use walkers, canes, crutches, prostheses and adaptive devices safely.
• Measure ROM, vital signs and other data to evaluate treatment response; document progress.
• Collaborate with rehab, nursing, and care teams to support resident-centered care.
• Educate residents and caregivers on routines, safe movement, wellness, and progress.
• Complete treatment and progress documentation accurately and on time.
