Job summary

RHF is seeking a Property Maintenance Technician for Mesquite Gardens, a 48-unit senior community in Mesquite, TX. You will perform daily upkeep, respond to service requests, and assist with apartment turnovers to maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years in the building maintenance field.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals.
• Skilled in using hand and power tools for repair and maintenance tasks.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and endure standing and repetitive tasks.
• Basic leadership and teamwork abilities.
• Familiarity with RealPage Maintenance Facilities.
• Basic English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Building/Property Maintenance: maintain interior/exterior appearance of buildings and property.
• Unit Turnovers: complete turnovers within 3 days of move-out.
• Painting and Preventative Maintenance: perform painting and scheduled maintenance.
• Inspections: assist in apartment and systems inspections.
• Work Orders: respond to units and common areas and document in OneSite.
• Maintenance Emergencies: handle after-hours, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Troubleshooting: diagnose mechanical, electrical, plumbing issues, incl. appliances.
• Vendor Coordination: monitor landscape contractor and coordinate with vendors.
• Safety and Compliance: follow safety protocols and regulations incl. REAC/NSPIRE.
• Customer Service: address maintenance needs promptly for residents.
• Maintenance Shop Organization: keep shop neat and organized daily.
• Property Security: ensure keys are secure.
