Job summary

South Port Square in Port Charlotte, FL is seeking a hospitality-driven Prep Cook to join our team. The role involves preparing all food items per standardized recipes and coordinating with meal serving hours to maintain quality, temperature, and presentation.

Requirements include a high school diploma, English instruction comprehension, arithmetic ability, and at least one year in restaurant or senior living cooking.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic.
• Minimum of one year restaurant/senior living cooking experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepares soups, stocks, sauces and roasts per standardized recipes.
• Cooks sautéed, fried, grilled, steamed and baked items per recipes.
• Plans production to align with meal serving times while ensuring quality, temperature and appearance.
• Maintains safe, sanitary workstation and personal hygiene; follows dress code.
• Attends in-service trainings and performs duties as assigned by supervisor.
