Job summary

The Bristal Assisted Living is seeking a Porter to create and maintain a clean, comfortable and safe environment for residents throughout the community. You will clean busy common areas such as bathrooms, hallways, function rooms, and the parking lot, while maintaining a friendly and professional attitude with residents and staff.

You will work under the Director of Housekeeping, performing routine cleaning and assisting with snow removal and special projects as required.

Qualifications

• Must be consistently friendly and courteous toward residents, families and staff.
• Reliable and thorough cleaning practices in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in cleaning services in hospitality, healthcare or related industries is a plus.
• Prior experience with seniors is preferred.
• Must be able to communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned common areas including bathrooms, rooms, stairs, hallways, parking areas and public spaces.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in accordance with Housekeeping guidance.
• Assist with special cleaning projects and snow removal as needed.
• Contribute to a friendly, safe and welcoming environment for residents and guests.
