Job summary

The Bristal Assisted Living is seeking a friendly Porter to maintain a clean, comfortable and safe environment for residents across our community. The role involves cleaning common areas, bathrooms, halls, and public spaces with a courteous, professional attitude.

You will work closely with the Director of Housekeeping and may assist with special cleaning projects and snow removal as needed. Weekend availability is required, with Tues–Sat or Sun–Thurs scheduling options.

Qualifications

• Must have an upbeat, friendly and courteous demeanor when interacting with residents, families, guests and team members.
• Reliable and thorough cleaning practices in all assigned areas.
• Ability to excel in cleaning services within a fast-paced setting.
• Experience cleaning in healthcare, hospital, hotel, hospitality or similar industries is a plus.
• Prior experience working with a senior population is preferred.
• Must be able to communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain assigned common areas (bathrooms, rooms, halls, lobby, parking, etc.) in accordance with guidelines.
• Keep areas clean, orderly and safe for residents and guests.
• Assist Director of Housekeeping and provide support on special cleaning projects; assist with snow removal as needed.

As a luxury assisted living community, we operate much like a high-end hotel. And that means delivering the ultimate experience in guest services and hospitality every day and in every way. We are seeking an experienced, responsible and well-mannered Porter to create and maintain a clean, comfortable and safe environment for our residents throughout our community. You will be required to maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of our busy common areas, including bathrooms, function rooms, stairways, hallways, the parking lot, sidewalks, windows, carpets, floors and all other public areas, as required. You will often come into contact with residents, resident families, other guests and team members, and we expect you to maintain a friendly, courteous and positive attitude at all times, so that these encounters are always pleasant and professional. In this role you will be cleaning assigned common areas of the community in accordance with the guidelines established by the Director of Housekeeping and will assist the Director when and where needed. Special cleaning projects and assistance with snow removal as necessary may be required. The loving care, attention to detail and great customer service you bring to your responsibilities as a Porter are fundamental to the quality of life and the general wellbeing of our residents every day.

Must be able to work at least one weekend day per week (Tues–Sat or Sun–Thurs).

• Experience providing cleaning services in the restaurant, healthcare, hospital, hotel, hospitality or similar industry is a plus
• Prior experience working with a senior population is preferred
• Must be able to communicate in English
