Lifespace Communities is seeking a Director of Plant Operations in the South Hills area to lead comprehensive maintenance, safety, and renovations across our communities. You will manage a budget, oversee a team, and drive improvements that keep residents safe and environments welcoming.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, collaboration with residents and staff, and ensuring survey-readiness under applicable codes. Travel to sites may be required as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience leading plant operations, facilities management, engineering, or maintenance in multi-building environments.
• Experience supervising maintenance teams and managing outside vendors and contractors.
• Strong technical range across building systems: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, life safety, plus renovation project management chops.
• Budgeting, capital planning, and disciplined cost control.

Responsabilités

• Running the preventative maintenance program for residential areas, health center, and systems behind them.
• Owning operating and capital budgets: annual plan, forecasting, cost control, monthly reviews.
• Directing renovations and unit turns from start to finish with scope, timeline, budget, and contractors.
• Managing vendors: bids, partner selection, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule.
