Stonecroft Assisted Living in Illinois is seeking a dedicated Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to provide direct resident care, support daily living activities, and promote dignity and independence in a safe, welcoming environment. This role requires empathy, good communication, reliability, and the ability to work independently and as part of a care team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Completion of state-approved PCA/CNA or caregiver training preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in personal care or healthcare preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Personal Care Support: Assist residents with ADLs including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and mobility.
• Health Monitoring: Observe and report changes in health, behavior, and physical condition to the nursing team; monitor for adverse reactions.
• Resident Engagement: Foster companionship and encourage participation in community activities and social events.
• Safety & Compliance: Maintain clean, organized living areas; follow infection control protocols and safety procedures.
