Brio Living Services in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a skilled Painter to join our Maintenance team. This full-time role offers a reliable schedule (Mon-Fri, 7:30am-4:00pm) and the opportunity to create warm, welcoming spaces for our residents.

As a Painter you will apply paints and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces, prepare surfaces, and inspect work for quality. Must have at least 2 years of professional painting experience, apprenticeship or formal training, and a Michigan driver’s

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience performing professional painting tasks, required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Apprenticeship and/or formal training in painting.
• Must possess a valid unrestricted state of Michigan driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Apply paint, primers, sealers, and other finishes to interior and exterior surfaces using brushes, rollers, or sprayers.
• Mix, match, and blend paints to achieve desired color and finish.
• Inspect painted surfaces for flaws or runs and make corrections as needed.
• Manages schedules and priorities to ensure work is performed timely.
• Prepares surfaces for painting or wall covering, including filling nail holes and repairing damaged areas and priming.
• Performs duties with the highest concern for working in and around resident’s homes.
• Performs maintenance and grounds repairs as directed
• Estimates the amount of paint and number of labor hours to complete project.
• Tracks hours and materials used and fills out bill form for each project.
