Job summary

Platinum Communities seeks a Maintenance Technician to uphold the physical communities, equipment, and grounds across assisted living campuses. You will perform repairs, oversee preventive maintenance, and respond to emergencies to keep residents safe and comfortable.

Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with Wisconsin DHS 83, coordinating with vendors, and maintaining clean, accessible common areas and resident spaces, while communicating clearly with residents, families, and staff.

Qualifications

• Must read, interpret, and follow safety and regulatory guidelines.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in building maintenance, facilities, or related trade.
• Ability to prioritize maintenance requests based on urgency and safety.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all maintenance practices comply with Wisconsin DHS 83 regulations and community policies.
• Maintain a safe and functional environment, identifying and correcting hazards promptly.
• Participate in inspections and compliance audits, preparing required documentation.
• Perform general repairs and upkeep in resident apartments/rooms, common areas, offices, and service areas (e.g., plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting).
• Prepare resident rooms for move-in readiness, ensuring cleanliness and functionality.
• Oversee preventive maintenance schedules for equipment, building systems, and appliances.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors when outside services are required.
• Maintain exterior grounds, including landscaping, snow removal, salting, and seasonal upkeep.
• Ensure walkways, parking lots, and outdoor areas are safe and accessible year-round.
• Serve as on-call technician for urgent and emergency maintenance needs outside of regular business hours.
• Respond quickly and appropriately to emergency situations (e.g., power outages, water leaks, equipment failures).
• Prioritize maintenance requests based on urgency, safety, and resident needs.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance requests, repairs, and inspections.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to ensure timely resolution of concerns.
• Communicate with Maintenance Technicians and Directors across company and assist with projects as needed.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
