Job summary

Mt. Baker Care Center and Summit Place Assisted Living in Bellingham, WA, seeks a dedicated Occupational Therapist to evaluate residents and develop individualized treatment plans to improve independence in daily living activities, mobility, and safety.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in Occupational Therapy and Rehabilitation, including assessment, treatment planning, and implementation for adult and older adult populations.
• Foundational knowledge in Medicine and clinical care principles relevant to skilled nursing and assisted living environments.
• Strong Communication skills for interacting with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams, including clear documentation and education.
• Experience or training in Pediatrics is helpful for understanding lifespan development and adapting interventions when needed.
• Current license or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Washington.
• Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or assisted living settings is preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team, manage a varied caseload, and maintain professional, respectful interactions with all residents.
• Commitment to person-centered care, safety standards, and ongoing professional development.
