Essential Functions
  • Monitor the daily care of all residents.
  • Perform skilled nursing tasks as defined by company policy and state law.
  • Document observations, concerns, and changes in resident conditions, incidents, and accidents, ensuring follow-up documentation until resolution.
  • Communicate resident needs and concerns to family members and physicians.
  • Record and implement physician orders.
  • Ensure that information and interventions recorded on resident service plans are implemented by caregivers.
  • Maintain an orderly medication cart, medication room, and accurate medication administration records.
  • Receive reports from caregivers before the end of the shift.
  • Provide status reports to incoming staff.
Supervisory/Management
  • Assist in shift assignments and ensure duties are completed satisfactorily.
  • Monitor care staff performance for policy compliance and quality resident care.
  • Manage shift coverage when staff call in sick.
  • Handle scheduling and staffing duties as requested.
  • Address family and visitor concerns or complaints, documenting issues and actions.
  • Manage minor physical plant issues during shifts, reporting as necessary.
Minimum Eligibility Requirements
  • Current state LPN/LVN or RN license if required by state.
  • Experience working with the elderly in a healthcare setting.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Ability to establish effective relationships with residents, families, and staff.
  • Strong documentation skills.
  • Professional and positive representation of the facility.
