Essential Functions
- Monitor the daily care of all residents.
- Perform skilled nursing tasks as defined by company policy, procedure, and state law.
- Document observations, concerns, and changes in resident conditions, incidents, and/or accidents, ensuring follow-up documentation until resolution.
- Communicate resident needs and concerns to family members and physicians.
- Record and implement physician orders.
- Ensure that information and interventions on resident service plans are implemented by caregivers.
- Maintain orderly medication carts, medication rooms, and accurate medication administration records.
- Receive reports from caregivers before shift end.
- Provide status reports to incoming staff.
Supervisory/Management
- Assist with shift assignments and ensure duties are satisfactorily completed.
- Monitor care staff performance for compliance and quality care.
- Manage shift coverage when staff call in sick.
- Responsible for scheduling and staffing duties.
- Address family and visitor concerns or complaints appropriately, documenting actions taken.
- Manage minor physical plant issues, reporting as necessary.
Minimum Eligibility Requirements
- Current state LPN/LVN or RN license, if required by state.
- Experience working with the elderly in healthcare.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Effective relationship-building skills.
- Strong documentation skills.
- Professional and positive representation of the facility.
