Job summary

Discovery Senior Living in Freehold, NJ is seeking a Care Giver/Medication Technician to enrich the lives of seniors by providing hands-on care, administering medications, and supporting residents with daily activities in a safe, home-like environment. This role offers both part-time and full-time shifts (7a–3p and 3p–11p) with a rate of $24 per hour, promoting

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse's Aide certification preferred
• High school diploma or GED required
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred
• Previous experience working with seniors preferred
• Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and demonstrate good judgment

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care and supervision for residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Administer and observe medications and treatments per Six Rights of Medication Pass
• Monitor and record resident conditions and changes in behavior, appetite, skin, and participation
• Engage residents in enrichment programs and life skills activities
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment in resident areas and spaces
• Respond promptly to resident call bells and security systems
• Communicate with residents, families, supervisors, and healthcare staff about care needs
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, infection control, and confidentiality policies
• Other duties as assigned
