Job summary

Oakmont Senior Living in California seeks a dedicated Medication Technician to supervise and assist in medication administration for residents. You will provide direct personal care and support activities while coordinating with nursing and maintenance teams.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, 1 year of med-assist experience preferred, and strong customer-service skills. Eligibility may include LVN as a plus; must pass background checks and health screenings.

Qualifications

• Must have customer service skills and a genuine desire to care for the elderly.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with residents, families and staff.
• Pass a background check and health screening as part of hiring process.
• One year of medication assistance experience in a RCFE or similar setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute medication to residents.
• Coordinate medication services with resident, pharmacy and physician.
• Order and track medication changes, refills, and deliveries.
• Maintain accurate, confidential resident medication and care records.
• Keep a safe, secure environment following safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork with co-workers and other departments.
